ALL DC HUSKERS HAVE A SPORTS PROGRAM!

The DC Huskers have always been a member of the Capital Alumni Network of Wash D.C. (CAN), the most unique alumni group in America. But now we have committed to putting teams into their sports league. These teams will also be able to represent Nebraska in all other area tournaments as well!

Aaron Hilligas and Laura Peterson contacted the chapter separately about interest in softball and flag football. Both bleed Husker Red but were playing on other school teams. They finally wanted to see Nebraska properly represented! It sounds familiar because it was exactly how I felt when I wanted to take the chapter to another level in 1997. I brought their ideas to the board. Needless to say, we were all excited and needed to act fast.The bottom line is Aaron and Laura are now the Chapter's new CAN representatives, and will be leading our sports teams. Once again, Union Pub showed their commitment to Nebraska by co-sponsoring our teams and providing the team shirts. Needless to say, post game gatherings will be at Union Pub!

DC HUSKERS SOFTBALL PRACTICE!

Aaron Hilligas, DC Huskers Softball Coach reports, "We have scheduled practice for Saturday, March 22 at 1:00 pm and Wednesday, March 26 at 5:30 pm. The location for both practices will be at one of the fields located by the Lincoln Memorial off of Ohio Drive."
